In Jan 2023, we launched the first interactive series that uses Generative AI as a total solution for content production.
Our interactive horror anthology, Dark Mode, places YOU in horrors beyond the human imagination (literally). Dark Mode is the culmination of almost two years of experimentation and exploration in this field.
Generative AI has been part of our thesis since the beginning.
As a studio, we have been fascinated by synthetic media and its potential to transform our live-action category for some time.
We were early adopters of DALL-E in 2021 and have leveraged a suite of AI tools to drive efficiencies in production of our content ever since.

In Dark Mode, all the media in the series cost less than $10 (audio synthesis, image generation, language models) and took approx 4 hours to source & iterate. The same media captured live would cost approx $10,000 and would require a minimum 2-week production shoot.
What excites us most, however, is the quality of the content. Dark Mode is truly more terrifying because of our collaboration with Generative AI.
Certainly, we were smart to leverage the horror genre – which already blurs the real and uncanny – in our first AI series. However, anyone observing the pace of change in this field can see a compelling AI Romance interactive series is just a stones throw away.
